I love this CD!!! I love Amanda Palmer. I do not know why I haven't found her before now. But, now that I have, I am completely enamored of her music. It's music for the soul, for grown ups. It's music for people who have had their hearts torn out of their chests and shredded, and then put themselves back together again. It's music for the children in us who were abused and tortured and survived. It's music for the romantics in us who grew up. It's music for the sarcastic bitches in us who tormented our teenage alter egos, and made bad choices, and we got our hearts broken, sometimes by friends, and we made more bad choices, and sometimes good choices, or watched our friends and families make bad choices, and then sat back and watched the fallout, and then when we were old enough we escaped as fast as we could run and as far as our legs could carry us, and we healed. And, we grew. And, we learned, and we loved. And, we grew up. And, we learned how to love ourselves. And, then we learned how to truly love. And then we truly healed.
